Popload Session apresenta… Cabana Café
* A segunda edição da Popload Session traz nesta semana a banda paulista de indie-bossa Cabana Café, destaque desta cena forte atual e urbana que transita bem entre o rock e a nova MPB.
* As sessões exclusivas para a Popload com bandas novas trazem dois vídeos por semana: uma “música de trabalho” e uma cover que represente algo para a banda. Ou que simplesmente o convidado queira tocar. A idéia é que a Popload Session seja semanal e traga a banda ou o artista “da semana” desempenhando ao vivo e onde quiser (em estúdio, em soundcheck, no quarto, na garagem, no metrô, no táxi).
* Já foram distribuídos alguns convites e tenho algumas sessions prontas ou a caminho de, mas a idéia é montar um calendário cheio para até, de repente, aumentar a periodicidade das publicações dela no blog. Bota essa sua banda para funcionar.

* A banda que enfeita esta segunda edição da Popload Session é a enorme Cabana Café, grupo de indie-bossa com possibilidades múltiplas e de sonoridade incrivelmente limpa, que vai do rock ao MPB com músicas sutis e letras em português, inglês e francês. Como bem disse um amigo, o Cabana Café conseguiu achar o fio que liga o mundo indie com a música jovem brasileira tipo Baixo Augusta.
* Exclusivo para a Popload, o Cabana Café toca seu recém-lançado single, “Le Gato”, que pode botar a banda no VMB 2011 (festa de premiação de vídeos da MTV), e depois desempenha “7/4 (Shoreline)”, música “famosa” da banda canadense Broken Social Scene. Confira a session:
* O Cabana Café é formado por Rita Oliva (vocal), Alan Simões (guitarra e percussão), Gustavo Rodrigues (baixo e vocal), Lucas Mercial (violão e percussão), Taian Cavalca (sintetizador), Zelino Lanfranchi Jr. (guitarra e metalofone) e Mário Gascó (bateria), uma mescla de Taubaté com Jundiaí na composição. A banda, que está baseada em São Paulo, atualmente segue em tour de lançamento do single “Le Gato”, cantado em francês. Em junho sai um outro single, da música “Dos”, que é cantada em espanhol/português e será o “hit do inverno”, dizem.
