* O grupo-fofura escocês BELLE & SEBASTIAN vem mesmo ao Brasil em novembro, a Popload foi informada direto da Escócia. A banda, que foi a primeira a esgotar ingresso no Free Jazz/Tim Festival, em 2001, vem pela segunda vez ao Brasil para “um festival de novembro”, como o recado chegou. Seria o contra-ataque do festival Planeta Terra ao Kings of Leon do SWU?
* O Belle & Sebastian, assim, deve vir se juntar a Phoenix, Hot Chip e Passion Pit no Playcenter. A banda escocesa de Stuart Murdoch chegará ao Brasil para mostrar as músicas de seu novo disco, o primeiro em quase cinco anos, que estava sendo finalizado em Los Angeles e a esta altura do campeonato (mundial) deve estar pronto. O show do B&S em São Paulo, em 2001, foi o primeiro da banda fora do eixo Reino Unido-Estados Unidos da história do grupo.
* O Start with You, nosso “own private” eco-friendly Woodstock, confirmou semana passada que vai levar mesmo a Itu em outubro os irmãos Followill, conforme a gente soltou por aqui. O KINGS OF LEON vem ao Brasil pela segunda vez, tipo o Belle & Sebastian, mas num status bem diferente daquele mostrado no Tim Festival de 2004. Agora o KOL é megabanda.
* Outra segunda visita a solo brasileiro é a do importante DJ e produtor inglês EROL ALKAN, escalado para a tenda eletrônica do SWU, em Itu. Alkan foi deus para a galera indie-rock britânica no começo dos anos 2000 por causa da festa que organizava em Londres, a genial Trash, que era realizada no famoso clube The End, às segundas-feiras.
Era a melhor e mais bem frequentada festa indie da história, com vários mini-shows importantes.
Depois, já no final dos 00, desencanou do rock e foi à eletrônica de vez.

Para lembrar a primeira vinda do grupo escocês ao Brasil, tem essa passagem da banda numa lendária session que fizeram no estúdio da gravadora Trama, em Pinheiros, para um programa da MTV brasileira. Aqui, ao vivo em Pinheiros, Belle & Sebastian tocando a incrível “There’s Too Much Love”.
* VÍDEO 2 – KINGS OF LEON EM SÃO PAULO
Quando era uma pequena banda, o Kings of Leon veio ao Tim Festival na sombra dos Strokes, a atração principal do saudoso evento de música nova, em 2005. Num polêmico show no chatíssimo (para shows) Anhembi, o KOL tocava “Molly’s Chambers” para os paulistanos.
